Pipe fittings: Pipelines, whether they are steel, copper or plastic are commonly assembled in pieces with the help of pipe fittings. Pipe fittings service multiple uses, especially in industrial occupations. One of the main purposes pipe fittings serve is allowing lines to run around a corner, over a ceiling or under a building. Pipe fittings usually connect to pipes in one of two different ways. They are connected by a threaded or a slip knot connection. Threaded pipes will screw right together to connect while slip knot pipes use sleeves that fit into one another.
Flare fittings: Flare fittings are used on the end of copper tubing. This type of tubing provides a solid connection to a fixed point using a threaded nipple. Flare fittings are commonly used in many different types of industrial projects, including setups that have high gas distribution or a great deal of water pressure going through a single pipe. Flare fittings are used in these types of situations because they provide a very strong connection.
Flareless fitting: Flareless fittings are commonly used in industrial situations that have a high probability of hydraulic fluid leakage that is brought on by high pressures. Three basic types of flareless fittings are available including 0-ring boss, plate-face O-ring fittings and SAE straight-thread boss fittings. Factors that determine what type of flareless fitting an individual should use include fitting location, individual preference and wrench clearance.
